Keyboarding for Kids (KBK)

Picture
Keyboarding for Kids is an online keyboarding program from Ellsworth Publishing that provides keyboarding drill and practice lessons to help students increase keyboarding speed and accuracy. In Canyons School District, Keyboarding for Kids is used for follow-up keyboarding instruction in grades 3-5.
Why KBK instead of other programs?
  • KBK is web-based and does not require software installation or updating.
  • KBK requires perfect accuracy before recording speed on practice lessons.
  • KBK helps students avoid stopping to delete or correct errors, encouraging fluency.
  • KBK has a useful testing and reporting component.
  • KBK has book-based and screen-based options.
  • Ellsworth Publishing has a history of great customer service.

KBK Instructions and Help:

With the upgrade of KBK to its HTML5 version, the look and feel of the program has altered slightly. Instructional videos and more information about KBK can be found in our Elementary Keyboarding Instruction Canvas course. If you need to be added to this course, please contact your Educational Technology Specialist.
