SAGE ELL Information
  • ​ELLs enrolled on or after April 15 of the current school year and who are new to the United States (first year of enrollment in any U.S. school) are exempt from all statewide assessment. (4/15/17-6/2/17)
  • ELLs enrolled before April 15 during the current school year and who are new to the United States (first year of enrollment in any U.S. school) must take: (8/24/16-4/14/17)
    • Math SAGE Summative (counted for participation only; scores are not calculated for UCAS)
    • ​​Science SAGE Summative (Participation and Proficiency scores are not calculated for UCAS).
  • ELL students enrolled on or after April 15 of the previous school year must take: (4/15/16-6/2/16)
    • ​Math SAGE Summative (counted for participation only; scores are not calculated for UCAS).
    • Science SAGE Summative (Participation and Proficiency scores are not calculated for UCAS).
  • ELLs enrolled before April 15 during the previous school year are included in all statewide accountability calculations and must take: (8/24/15-4/14/16)
    • ​ELA SAGE Summative
    • Math SAGE Summative.
    • Science SAGE Summative
    • SAGE Writing.
  • ELL students enrolled three or more years are included in all statewide accountability calculations and must take:
    • ​ELA SAGE Summative.
    • Math SAGE Summative
    • Science SAGE Summative.
    • SAGE Writing.
