Donors Choose and You!
Donors Choose can be a great way to obtain some supplies that would otherwise be difficult to get through school funds, such as expensive technology equipment . The most daunting part of grant writing can be understanding the process. This page will hopefully get you started.
The way it works is that Donors Choose.org provides a medium for teachers to propose projects and for donors to find and fund worthy proposals. Parents, companies, education foundations, and any individual can fund a classroom project by donating through Donors Choose. Each donation source can select from projects posted to the website. They can search by area, socio-economic status, by district, or even a specific school. Our Canyons Education Foundation has asked that proposals that are for materials less than $1,000 in value should be submitted through Donors Choose. Teacher Success and Donors Choose:

Pros:
1. Teachers may post a project at any time of the year. There are no deadlines for submittal.
2. Materials can follow educators to any school the they teach in the district (with approval from the principal). 3. Teachers can find creative classroom engagement tools and solutions that would be otherwise financially unobtainable. Cons:
