Yogile.....An Easy Way to Share Photos!

11/16/2012

Picture
Debbie Owens, a third grade teacher at Draper Elementary, has started using Yogile with her students.  Yogile is a web-based service that allows the user to upload photos and share them with anyone.  Users can also send a unique URL to a non Yogile user which allows them to view and upload images.

Mrs. Owens has been having her students take pictures of real world objects that represent multiplication problems.  Mrs. Owens has 5 iPads in her classroom that the students have used to take the pictures.  Her students have also been able to take pictures with their own devices (iPhones, iPads, cameras) when they are at home.  Once the pictures have been taken, the students email the pictures to Mrs. Owen’s Yogile account.

The next step for Mrs. Owen’s third graders is to take those pictures and write and illustrate a story problem using Comic Life.  They will use the pictures shared in Yogile.  Mrs. Owens has enjoyed using Yogile with her students because she says it has been a quick and easy way for her class to share pictures.

**A picture of one of her student’s final project will be posted soon. **
