I worked with a fabulous 1st grade teacher last year from Sandy Elementary named Mrs. Yen. She would have her students write about a particular subject and then illustrate it. About once a month, Mrs. Yen would have me record her students reading about their writing projects using GarageBand. I then exported their projects from GarageBand and created short movies of her students reading. Mrs. Yen would post these short movies to her classroom blog for parents to view. The students loved these movies and the parents loved it too! I have posted a writing project called My Favorite Animal.
