Mrs. Pusey's Sixth Graders: iPads in the Classroom

1/10/2013

Picture
Sixth graders at Quail Hollow Elementary are using iPads and other technology to present projects on the Renaissance.  Mrs. Pusey shared a variety of applications for the iPad and allowed the students to choose from PowerPoint, Notability, Sock Puppets, Popplet Lite, Slide Show Lite, Idea Sketch, Document Cameras and Photo Albums.  The students worked in pairs or small groups to complete the project in an app of their choice. They used skills like adding text, pictures and adding voice to enhance their projects.  The students were excited to apply their knowledge of a historical period of time, using fun technology tools.  iPads are used in Mrs. Pusey’s class in a variety of ways and her students have many opportunities showcase technology.  Danae Reff
