Yesterday, Mrs. Simpson's 1st grade class at Sunrise Elementary practiced writing their lower case letters using Doodle Buddy on the iPad.  The capital letter was written for them.  If the student knew the what the lower case looked like, then they could put their thumb up.  When they were picked, they got to write the lower case letter.  The rest of the class would look up at the projector screen and see if the student wrote the letter correctly.

If a student was caught having extra good behavior, they got to pick the next brush color.  Although the activity only lasted about 10 minutes, the students LOVED it!  They were engaged and excited the whole time!  In addition, Mrs. Simpson could see if the students were writing their letters the correct way by watching how the students wrote their letters.
