We read a book about shapes during math. Students shared their original ideas about what they could draw using only shapes. They went to their desks and wrote a word; sounding it out with their original spelling. This is always interesting and shows a lot about their phonemic awareness. Step 2 they each sketched out their idea. When we went to the computer lab they created that object in Kidpix using the shapes tools, and wrote their name and the name of the object using the text tools. In this movie they describe their art.
