Response Systems (Clickers)

Picture
We no longer support a specific platform for response systems. There are several software and hardware options for student response and formative assessment. This page gives some great alternatives for these activities

Ways to use Response Systems in your Class

Picture
Response systems are perfect for formative assessment.  It gives you fast feedback with tons of data.   This is the way most teachers use Response Systems in the classroom but it is the least effective way.
In Canyons School District we want data to drive our teaching and we need data on a daily basis to accomplish this.  Using Response Systems for CFAs will provide you the information you need to direct your teaching in two ways.  The first is to have students answer 3-5 questions before they leave the classroom (exit slip).  The second is to have the Response Systems in the student's hand while you teach a concept, checking for understanding as you go.  Imagine a class where every student is engaged while you lecture and be able to see what the students know in real time.
