Interactive Whiteboards (Smart)

_SMART Boards
Smart Boards are interactive whiteboards that have a touch-sensitive screen that connects to a computer and projector.  The user can control computer applications directly from the screen, write notes in digital ink and save their work so they can present it later.

Smart Exchange 

By joining  Smart Exchange (it's FREE) you have access to other educators SMART notebook files.  Search Smart Exchange by name, subject, file type, or core standards.   Once you download the file you can edit, delete, or add any content you wish.  Its great for finding templates for review games (ex. Jeopardy or Koosh Ball).

Pros:

1.  Increase student engagement
2.  Interactive presentations
3.  Works well with iPad
4.  Incorporated into PowerPoints

Limitations:

1.  Not mobile (Tied to front of the room)
2.  Many are not multi-touch
