Turn your classroom into a game show! Kahoot! is an incredibly engaging assessment tool where students can answer questions and score points based on, the answer is correct and the answer was entered the quickest.  Kahoot is a free resource that is easy to use with students and requires relatively little preparation and provides an easy to analyze data report. ​

Google Classroom is an amazing tool that is available on iPads, Chromebooks, PC, & Mac Computers. In addition to being a great way for students to communicate understanding with teachers and one another, they can also use the Google Drive Apps (Sheets, docs, slides, and surveys) in an incredibly powerful way. No longer do students need to complete several steps to share documents with teachers, they simply "turn in" their assignments through Google Classroom!

Plickers is an great tool to use to gather assessment data quickly with only one mobile device, since we all know that mobile devices aren't always available for all of our students.   Instead of putting answers into a mobile device the students hold up a Plicker card to answer questions and the teacher gathers the data instantly through scanning the cards on their mobile device.  

ClassBadges is a free online tool where teachers can award badges to students for accomplishments or academic mastery. Through your teacher account, you can award badges customized for your classroom or school. Badges can easily be aligned to academic goals or associated with existing school awards.

Nearpod is a great presentation tool that sends content to individual devices rather than projecting to a projector. Not only can students view slides live, they can also participate in interactive activities that help formatively assess student understanding in real time. Presentations can also be available to students asynchronously in the form of Nearpod Homework.

Flubaroo is a Google add-on that quickly grades multiple choice assessments made using Google Forms.  It's an easy 3 step process.  The teacher makes a multiple choice test using Google Forms, the teacher takes the test and marks their answers as the scoring guide, finally the students take the quiz and Flubaroo will grade all of the questions for you.  All of the results are organized into a Google Sheets document ready for review and analysis.
