Basic Mac System Preferences
_Click on System Preferences in your dock or select it from the apple in
the upper left hand corner of your screen. It should look like this:
_Mission Control is an option that will make things like windows and your desktop more accessible.

- Task: Set Mission Control on your computer the way it works best for you! Suggestion: activate one corner of your screen to show your "desktop", activate another corner to show "Mission Control" (all windows). You may find this to be very helpful when you have a lot of windows open.

- Task: Choose your setting preferences in Energy Saver

Trackpad preferences are actually shown in the
video window on the right of the screen as you mouse over each
preference, so watch the visuals in this preference window to see all
the capabilities of your track pad. You will learn a few great tricks!
- Task: Set your Point & Click preferences. Remember these are your preferences and you can change them back if you decide you don't like the way it works. Suggestion: Change only one setting at a time and try it out to be sure you like what you have done.

- Task: Decide which Gestures you would like to use on your trackpad. Gestures are shown in the video window on the right of the screen as you mouse over each preference, so watch the visuals in this preference window to see all the gestures available to you.
Universal Access provides computing abilities for the visual or hearing impaired and a zoom option which is very helpful when teaching from your laptop.
